Dressform Pics

Here’s everything so far. I’m only missing 3 actually so maybe I should have waited, but our server is down at work and I’m bored.

My Belldandy costume from 2003.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Urd (Ah! My Goddess) costume, made in 2002.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Belldandy and Urd from 2003 and 2002, respectively. These two costumes have really stood the test of time. I knew Belldandy was in good shape since I wore her to Momocon earlier this year, but Urd has been packed in a bag for several years. The cape’s a little wrinkly but that’s about it. I could wear it tomorrow with no issues.

My Belldandy (Ah! My Goddess) manga costume, made in 2004.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Hild costume from Ah! My Goddess. I made this in 2004.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Belldandy and Hild, both from 2004. Hild is still in great shape and I really need to do a photoshoot with it sometime soon. Manga Belldandy cleaned up really well – every bit of it was folded up into bags and pretty wrinkly, but it cleaned up really well. The hoop from the skirt is missing, but that’s easily replaced whenever I get around to taking pictures.

My Ceremonial Princess Leia costume (second version) from March 2007.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Padme costume from June 2007. Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Padme’s funeral dress and Leia’s ceremonial dress, both from 2007. Padme is too large to store in a bin, so it’s been folded up in a garbage bag at the bottom of my closet for a while. It pops right into shape though, no ironing needed. It did sequins EVERYWHERE tho. Ceremonial Leia is one that hangs in my closet so it was in pretty good shape – though I’d love to completely remake it one day.

My Belle (ballgown) costume from September 2005.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My second version of Belle's ballgown, from Beauty and the Beast. I made this in 2012.Construction info + pictures are up at my website: kelldar.com

The two Belles, 2005 and 2012. Both of these hang in the closet so they were both just a tiny bit wrinkly at the hem, but that’s about it. 2005 is still in great shape. It’s one of those costumes I’ll never get rid of if I can help it – it’s very sentimental to me.
I love seeing them both together. Two different takes on the same dress.

My Snow White costume, made in 2009.Construction info + pictures are up at my website: kelldar.com

My Aurora costume from 2008.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Sleeping Beauty and Snow White, from 2008 and 2009. I forgot how much I love my Sleeping Beauty dress. I’d like to remake the corset piece at some point, with a less shiny fabric, but I love the skirt, it’s very dreamy. Unfortunately it’s the dress part that doesn’t fit me anymore. I made this costume when I was sick back in 08, and had lost a ton of weight. I could build another panel into the back pretty easily though. (And that’s why I try to make most of my costumes lace-up, and not zipper, so weight fluctuations don’t get in the way of wearing costumes…)

My Jane Porter costume from Tarzan. I made this in 2010.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Megara costume. I made this costume in May 2014 for Momocon in Atlanta, GA.kelldar.com/portfolio/megaraKelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Meg and Jane from 2014 and 2010. I really like how both of these look on the dressform. Jane’s top doesn’t fit all that great (since it was made to wear with a corset) but the skirt does.

My Donna Noble costume based on her dress from The Fires of Pompeii. I made this in August 2014 for Dragoncon 2014.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Donna Noble wedding dress from Doctor Who. I made this in 2013.Construction info + pictures are up at my website: kelldar.com

Donna Runaway Bride and Donna Fires of Pompeii from 2013 and 2014. Runaway Bride kinda blends into the background unfortunately. I was hoping these shots would show the beading well but they really don’t. Boo. Pompeii of course still needs the rework I planned, haven’t gotten to it yet.

My Ame-Comi Supergirl costume from 2010.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Lady Blackhawk costume from Birds of Prey. I made this in 2011.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Ame-Comi Supergirl and Lady Blackhawk from 2010 and 2011. It’s weird that these two costumes are only a year apart, they seem further apart in my head.

My Giselle from Enchanted costume, made in 2008.A little wrinkled from storage. Needs steaming!Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Belle library dress from Beauty and the Beast. I made this in 2008.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Giselle and Belle’s library dress, both from 2008. Neither look that great on the dressform. For Giselle it’s because she’s been stuffed in a bag and despite a good ironing, still looks a bit wrinkly (it’d need steaming if I were to wear it again). Belle’s sleeves just look weird without an arm in them.

My Alyss Heart costume from The Looking Glass Wars. Made in 2010.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Sarah Sanderson (Hocus Pocus) costume from 2012. Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Alyss from 2010 and Sarah Sanderson from 2012. Alyss needed repairs before I could shoot it – the beads on the collar pipes had all fallen off. I’ve saved them in my desk drawer as I found them, so I just glued them back on. This is one I DESPERATELY need to wear again – all that work to only wear once is silly. Sarah’s sleeves also look weird without an arm in them.

My Wasp (Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes) costume, made in 2012. I did not think to take a photo of it with the wings, unfortunately. Next time.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Peggy Carter costume, made for Dragoncon 2014. Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Peggy Carter from 2014 and Wasp from 2010. I really don’t know why I didn’t put Wasp’s wings on for the photo. D’oh. Would have made for a more interesting photo. Peggy looks really nice on the form, tho.

My Glimmer costume from She-Ra. Made in 2013.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Amalthea costume from The Last Unicorn, made in 2003.A little wrinkled from storage. Needs steaming!Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Amalthea from 2003 and Glimmer from 2013. Amalthea was another one that was stored in a bag and needed more than just a quick ironing. Glimmer looks nice on the dressform tho.

My Donna Noble costume from Doctor Who: Journey's End, made in 2011.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Dr Forrester lab coat from MST3K, made in 2012.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Dr Forrester from 2012 and Donna from 2011. Dr Forrester was a little wrinkly from post-Dragoncon abuse (aka, getting tossed out of the bin and laying on the floor for a while) and doesn’t fit the dressform well at all. Donna is Donna, it’s not all that interesting.

My Arwen costume from Lord of the Rings. I made this in 2005.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Anne Boleyn costume from 2009.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Arwen from 2005 and Anne Boleyn from 2009. Both of these would have looked better with arms in the sleeves. Arwen needs a little clean-up before I ever wear it again – the trim is fraying a bit in the back and there’s still a place along the bottom where the seam ripped open dancing at Dragoncon 2005.
Anne has a HAIRSPRAY stain on the front šŸ™ I’m scared to try to remove it.

My Time Lord costume from Doctor Who, made in 2012. Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Time Lord costume from Doctor Who, made in 2012. Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Time Lord with and without the collar. I have both mine and Chase’s Time Lord robes in one garment bag and GOD is it heavy. It’s seriously like 40 lbs I swear.

My Queen Amidala parade dress from Star Wars Episode I. I made this in 2005.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My Queen Amidala parade dress from Star Wars Episode I. I made this in 2005.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Queen Amidala from 2005; I really wasn’t terribly happy with the way the front pictures were turning out, and then I spun it around for a back picture and was like yaaaaaaaaaas good.
Also – GOSH those bottom petals are dirty. I cleaned it up before wearing it at COSI in 2010, but I guess walking around outside there was pretty dirty, haha. The whole bottom needs to soak in grandma’s stain remover for a while.

My Romana I costume from Doctor Who: Ribos Operation, made in 2013.Construction info + pictures are up at my website: kelldar.com

My Romana I costume from Doctor Who: Ribos Operation, made in 2013.Construction info + pictures are up at my website: kelldar.com

Romana I from 2013 with and without the cape. Cape still needs repairs. I’m not looking forward to breathing in feathers and fur again.

My original Arwen dress from Lord of the Rings, made in 2003.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

My original Arwen dress from Lord of the Rings, made in 2003.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Arwen from 2003, with and without the cape. The dress is still in fairly good shape except for one spot on the sleeves that needs repaired. Unfortunately the cape has a new issue – due to the way it was stored on the hanger the neck has gotten stretched out šŸ™

Anyway, I’ve just got Johanna, Anne Boleyn (2014) and Marie Antoinette to upload. All 3 of those had waaaaay too many pictures to sift through since I was messing with the lights on them.
